Jennifer M Bailey

Born and raised in the mountains of the Cévennes, France. Jennifer is a freelance Production Designer based in Prague. Since obtaining her master’s degree in Scenography at the Theatre Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts Prague (DAMU) in 2015, she has been active in the artistic scene of the Czech Republic. Her work includes roles such as: Standby Art Director on the final block of the US TV series ´Knightfall´ (Stillking Films and History Channel and A&E Studios), Assistant Set Decorator on 'Medieval' (WOG Film), Set Dresser and Assistant Set Decorator on the third season of the famous German TV series 'Charité' (UFA Fiction and MIA Films), Assistant to Leadman on 'Das Boot 3' (Stillking Films and Bavaria Film), Assistant Set Decorator on 'Extinction' (Czech-Anglo Productions and Urban Myth Films). But also working as a Production Designer on numerous commercials, music videos, short films and features.

 

After graduating, one of her first jobs was a teaching assistant position for international students at DAMU, while working at the  painting and sculpture workshops for the Prague National Theatre. This enabled her to further explore the inner workings of productions and realise the importance of constant learning and knowledge one needs acquire when working in this industry.

Jennifer is passionate about storytelling through images and what they unlock in the human mind, her dedication and curiosity of uncovering new and traditional art forms, movements, techniques, ideas and styles is always ongoing. Living in four different countries has accentuated her passion for travelling and acquiring knowledge of different cultures. Combine this with her passion for filmmaking, this has made her even more determined to work on as many films across the world as possible.
